Arkitech works hard to make cruise vessels more sustainable all over the world. With projects in Barcelona, Tallinn, Alicante, Amsterdam, Genova, Rotterdam and more we always find ways to cut down emissions by up to 15 percent.
New installation
In May 2023 we start the implementation of our system on a 2005 cruise vessel for 4,000 persons. We expect to have the system up and running by July and in the first year after installation we expect to save at least XX kg CO2 equivalent.
18% fuel saved
The installation of our ARK M20 system on a 2004 cruise vessel with a capacity of 3,000 people has allowed our customer to save a stunning 18 percent of their fuel use since 2019. Our system now yearly saves them €80.000 on fuel cost!
Excellence
October 2019 started excitingly with the European Commission awarding Arkitech with a Seal of Excellence! The Seal of Excellence is a quality label awarded to companies that are putting time and effort in research and innovation.
May 2023: First installation on a 100MT cruise vessel
In May 2023 we started the implementation of the ARK M20 system on a 100MT cruise vessel with a capacity for 4,000 people!
GNV achieves 18% savings with Arkitech's chiller optimisation project
Italian ferry operator Grande Navi Veloci (GNV) proudly announced that the La Suprema ferry saved 18 percent of its Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning energy use. In cooperation with our partner ABB Ports & Marine we installed our ARK M10 system on their vessel and the results have exceeded all expectations. GNV have reduced their energy use by 70 MWh each month
European Commision awards Seal of Excellence

Arkitech's first remote installation
Arkitech finished the first installation of the ARK M20 system on one of the largest ferry vessels in the Mediterranean. The ARK M20 system saves energy, reduces emissions and improved the air quality on the vessel. The ARK M20 predecessor has proven to save 18.7% of the HVAC energy use on a vessel. Due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, Arkitech had to do a remote installation.
Arkitech moves within Amsterdam
After starting Arkitech in 2018 in the Amsterdam office in Zuid-Oost, we have decided to move to Sloterdijk for a more modern office that matches our ambitions. Our new office offers a better space for our workers and is better equipped to work together with our remote workers.
Arkitech becomes NMT member
Since March 2019 Arkitech has become a member of the Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT). The NMT is the branche organisation for the famous Dutch maritime industry. As a part of the NMT we will share knowledge with other members and we will continue to innovate the industry.
