Arkitech is a Dutch maritime software company founded in Amsterdam. We reduce fuel consumption and emissions on cruise vessels by optimizing the systems already on board.
The cruise industry needs to cut emissions, but the global fleet cannot be replaced overnight. Thousands of vessels need to perform better now, with the systems they already have. HVAC is the largest source of recoverable energy on board, accounting for up to 30% of total consumption. But unlocking that energy requires continuous coordination across hundreds of variables that change by the hour. That coordination didn’t exist.
What started with a single vessel pilot in 2023 now runs across a fleet of twelve cruise ships on three continents. Our team of twenty engineers and data scientists installs and operates the software themselves, working alongside onboard crews from the engine control room up.

Our solution
Intelligent HVAC control for cruise vessels: HVAC systems account for up to 30% of a cruise vessel's total energy consumption, yet on most fleets they run on static setpoints, adjusted manually, with results that vary by crew and conditions. Our platform turns that energy into a continuous efficiency gain on your existing fleet. No hardware changes. Live within weeks. -
Expertise
We publish in-depth perspectives on the operational and regulatory challenges shaping HVAC efficiency in the cruise industry. Each article is written for fleet operators and energy efficiency teams managing vessels in service today. -
