About the job
We’re seeking a Full stack developer to help improving the IT architecture and support the company to scale.

As a Full stack developer you’ll work on the development of the software platform that combines Data IoT, Analytics, and AI to support cutting-edge algorithms to reduce the energy consumption of large climate systems on ships. You will be part of a diverse and experienced development team comprising a data analytics engineer, a full-stack developer, a front-end developer. While contributing to both our C# back-end and our front-end applications, you help your colleagues bridge knowledge gaps.

 

What you’ll do:

  • You actively contribute to the specifications and designs to deliver on the company’s objectives. This involves uncovering technical constraints and breaking down the work into iterations and tasks.
  • You take ownership of your tasks and implement them in close contact with your colleagues.
  • You take into account all aspects, from data models to testing to performance, delivering well-engineered scalable solutions.
  • You bridge the knowledge gaps between back-end and front-end for your colleagues, ensuring a comprehensive understanding.
  • You deliver your work in small iterations, regularly soliciting feedback from colleagues, both spontaneously and through code reviews.

What we’re looking for:

  • You have multiple years of experience developing applications with C#, or similar.
  • You have experience with developing databases in SQL and Azure
  • You’re a firm believer in well-tested and peer-reviewed code.
  • You have a bias for action and love writing code.
  • You love thinking about the product you’re building, transcending the code.
  • You are based in the Netherlands and fluent in English.

Expertise and education:

  • 5+ years experience with building secure cloud and software applications preferably in a maritime environment
  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • MS stack (NET framework, C#, SQL, Azure),
    • knowledge on messaging protocols (BacNet, MQTT)
    • DevOps stack (Docker, Git)
    • Experience or strong interest in AI and ML
